What is your Learning in this course?

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique or focuses the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm, and stable state.
Meditation experts and Scholars have found meditation difficult to define, as practices vary both between traditions and within them. Meditation may be used with the aim of reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, and increasing peace, perception, self-concept, and well-being.

The Latin word MEDERI is the root word of Meditation which means “To heal,” and another word MEDICUS means “Physician”. The English meditation is derived from Old French Meditacioun, in turn from Latin meditation from the verb mederi, meaning “to think, to heal, contemplate, devise, and ponder”.

Learn 7 Types of meditation in this workshop.

  • Anger Releasing Meditation
  • Loving Kindness meditation
  • Transcendental Meditation

(Duration of the class: 1 Hour)

What is your Learning in this course?

Why do the hands and fingers of yogis take on a unique form when they sit for meditation or in some asanas and pranayamas? What do these hand gestures denote in yoga?
The hand gestures a yogi makes during meditation or some sacred kriyas practice are called mudras. They are used to evoke a particular state of mind and have the ability to change one’s mood, attitude, or perspective.

The term Mudra is a Sanskrit word that means Gesture, Mark, Symbol, or Seal. The main purpose of practicing mudra is to restore our physical and Mental Energy. This means in day-to-day life one or another way we are losing our energy. Energy is lost through our nerve endings. So we have to create one strong circuit to cycle this energy in its own axis. So, scientifically mudra means “Circuit bypass of energy”. If you break down Mudra into two words it will be Mud and Ra. Now the dictionary meaning will be like this Mud means “Joy” and Ra means “Produce”. Hence mudra means gestures that produce joy and happiness.

Reiki, Angels & Devas Therapy

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other
medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals promote peace and harmony, which is nearly universal across all cultures.
